How to read the Insights analytics dashboard
A real-time analytics dashboard: active/completed/expired/archived counts, completion rate, priority breakdown, monthly trends, top expiry types, and overdue analysis.
What is it
Insights is a live analytics dashboard computed from your current expiry data - not a static report. It answers "how are we doing right now" with metrics like completion rate (percentage of expiries marked Done vs. total), priority distribution, and month-over-month trends.
Why / when to use it
Steps- Use Insights for an always-current pulse-check - checking in on compliance health day-to-day, or before a leadership meeting.
- Use Monthly Reports instead when you need a fixed, dated, shareable snapshot (e.g. for an audit trail or to send externally) rather than a live view that changes as data changes.
- From the sidebar, go to Insights.
- The top cards show counts for Active, Completed, Expired, and Archived expiries.
- Charts below cover Completion Rate, Priority Distribution, Monthly Trends (created/completed/expired over the last 12 months), Top Expiry Types, Overdue Analysis, and (if your org has teams) Team Distribution.
- If some expiries have an invalid or missing expiry date, a banner tells you how many are excluded from date-based charts, with a link to fix them.
