How to send a test reminder and edit email templates
Send yourself a sample reminder email, or customize the wording/branding of reminder emails.
What is it
A test reminder is a real reminder email sent immediately to yourself (rather than waiting for the actual schedule) so you can check formatting, branding, and timing. Email templates are the underlying wording/layout used for every reminder email your organization sends.
Why / when to use it
Steps- Test before relying on a new reminder schedule or a newly edited email template - catching a broken template after go-live means a real deadline notice went out looking wrong.
- Customize email templates when you want reminders to carry your organization's voice/branding rather than the generic default wording - useful when recipients are external (e.g. clients on a shared compliance portal).
- Go to Test Reminder to send a sample reminder email to yourself so you can check formatting and timing before relying on it.
- Go to Email templates (admin/editor only) to edit the wording, subject line, and branding used in reminder emails.
