Once configured, ExpiryEdge runs automatically. You do not need to log in for reminders to be sent. The system checks all due dates continuously and sends alerts to the designated recipients on the configured schedule via email, SMS, WhatsApp, Slack, Teams, or any combination of these channels.

The reminder includes the name of the item, its expiry date, the responsible owner, and a link to the relevant record in ExpiryEdge. The recipient can click through to view the full record, upload renewal documents, and mark the item as renewed. All of this is tracked in the system's audit log.
