Frequently asked questions
What is ExpiryEdge used for?
ExpiryEdge helps track and manage important deadlines, such as software subscriptions, licenses, tasks, and other critical business operations. It allows setting reminders, sharing expiry details securely, and getting notified before deadlines approach.
How do I create a new expiry or reminder?
To create a new expiry or reminder, go to the 'Create Expiry' page, fill in details like name, type, expiry date, priority, and related links or notes. You can also set a password for sharing the expiry details if needed.
Can I share an expiry with others?
Yes, you can generate a shareable link for any expiry. If marked as private, you'll need to provide a password to access the details. Ensure you share the password securely with those you want to access the expiry.
How is my data secured?
We prioritize security. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt, ensuring they cannot be decrypted. Only authorized users can access or modify the expiries. You can choose to protect shared expiries with a password.
I forgot the password I set for an expiry. What can I do?
Due to secure hashing methods, we cannot retrieve the original password. However, you can update the password by editing the expiry on the 'Edit Expiry' page.
Can I change the details of an expiry after creating it?
Yes, you can edit any expiry anytime. Go to the expiry details page and click 'Edit' to modify details, including password, dates, and priority.
How do I mark an expiry as done?
You can mark an expiry as done from the expiry list or details page. When marking as done, you can add closing notes for future reference.
What happens when I archive an expiry?
Archiving an expiry moves it out of your active expiry list but keeps it accessible in archived expiries. This helps maintain a clean dashboard while retaining past records.
Can I set notifications for upcoming expiries?
Yes, ExpiryEdge allows you to set notifications for upcoming expiries, ensuring you never miss a deadline.
How do I search or filter my expiries?
Use the search bar and filters on the dashboard to find specific expiries. Filters include priority, expiry dates, and more, helping you manage expiries efficiently.
